Compliance, Crime, and Collaboration in the Thames Valley

As we move through Q4 of 2025 and look toward 2026, the security landscape in the Thames Valley continues to evolve. In our latest Company Update video (above), we go behind the scenes at Risk Management Security Services to discuss the critical issues facing business owners and facilities managers today.

From the financial risks of non-compliant contractors to the physical risks of burglary, our team and our clients share their real-world experiences.

Here are the key takeaways from this quarter’s update.

 1. The HMRC Crackdown: Is Your Supply Chain Compliant?

“Your Security Supply Chain. Your Liability.”

The video opens with a stark warning from our Managing Director, Graham Tilly. HMRC and the SIA are working together to stamp out security companies that use “sham” self-employment schemes to undercut prices.

Crucially, HMRC can now hold you (the client) liable for a non-compliant security supply chain. At RISK, we maintain 100% compliance regarding employment matters and PAYE, ensuring that when you hire us, you aren’t just protecting your property- you are protecting your business from regulatory investigation.

 2. Case Study: Bouncing Back from a £100k+ Theft

“We sell second-hand office furniture…
who’s going to come here and steal from me?”

That was the question Richard Ryll, founder of RBF Ltd and Clear Environment in High Wycombe, used to ask himself. Unfortunately, over a bank holiday weekend, his business was targeted. Thieves stripped the warehouse, taking vans, IT equipment, and stock valued at over £100k.

In the video, Richard shares his journey from that devastating loss to finding peace of mind. Since partnering with RISK for Keyholding and Alarm Response, Richard reports that he hasn’t had a single break-in.

We’ve got security. We’re all quite happy.” — Richard Ryll

 3. The Power of Partnership: Calber FM

Security doesn’t happen in a silo. We often work alongside Facilities Management companies to deliver a seamless service.

We are proud to feature Sam Humphrey, Director of Service at Calber Facilities Management, in this update. We have partnered with Calber for over 15 years. Sam highlights that our “professionalism” and ability to “tailor services” to specific client needs – rather than offering a “one-size-fits-all” approach – are the reasons this relationship has thrived for over a decade.

 4. Technology & Transparency

Finally, our Operations Director, Tiras Turner, discusses how we are leveraging technology to offer “live stream” reporting. We believe you should see what we see. Whether it’s a mobile patrol or a static guard, our clients now have greater visibility than ever before, ensuring total transparency and trust.

Look out for our next update in 2026

At Risk Management Security Services, we are more than just a service provider; we are your local partners in prevention. Whether you manage a corporate office, a logistics hub, or a private estate, we are here to help.
