RISK MANAGEMENT SECURITY SERVICES
Our portfolio of business parks ranges in size and complexity with each location having a different demand for effective levels of security. These levels include keyholding and alarm response, mobile patrols, manned guarding and dog handlers.
We have managed one of the UK’s largest business parks for over fifteen years and this has provided us with an in-depth insight to understand the challenges that landlords, managing agents, tenants, visitors and consumers experience. With this knowledge we have developed the ability to fully understand what is required of a security team that works within a Business Park environment.
Our security officers perform a variety of critical functions to deter crime, manage access, and respond to emergencies. Below are some key components in our effective management of security on a business park:
- Gatehouses: Security personnel are based at key entry and exit points to monitor and control vehicle and pedestrian access. This includes verifying the identity of employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Visitors: Security operate a reception or signing in function to ensure all visitors are logged, issued badges, and escorted as needed. This helps us maintain control over who enters the premises.
- Foot and Vehicle Patrols: our teams conduct regular patrols on foot or in security vehicles around business parks, ensuring all areas are secure, including car parks, outdoor spaces, and common areas. Patrols help deter criminal activity and detect any security issues (e.g., broken fences, suspicious behaviour).
- Monitoring Vulnerable Areas: we focus on high-risk or less frequently monitored areas, such as rear entrances, storage areas, and unused or secluded spaces.
- CCTV Monitoring: Security personnel will monitor CCTV systems to various parts of business parks, identifying any unusual or suspicious activity in real time.
- Alarm Systems: we are responsible for responding to alarm signals by motion detectors, security breaches, or other emergency situations.
- Immediate Response: In case of emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or security threats (e.g., theft, vandalism, or trespassing) our teams assess the situation, provide assistance, and alert relevant authorities if necessary.
- Evacuation Management: In the event of an emergency requiring evacuation (e.g., fire alarm), our security personnel will guide and direct staff and visitors safely out of the buildings and to designated assembly points.
- Assisting Employees and Visitors: we can provide directions, answer enquiries, and assist with other customer service tasks. Their presence helps ensure smooth operations for employees and visitors whilst upholding security levels across the park.
- Reporting: Security officers document any incidents or irregularities observed during their shifts. This can include suspicious behaviour, accidents, or minor security breaches. Following a serious incident a detailed report will be complied and our senior management team will be in attendance to review what happened and engage with the customer.
