Case Study: Tokamak Energy – Milton Park, Abingdon
Tokamak Energy is a fusion power research company based on Milton Park, Oxfordshire. Throughout Milton Park we have a dedicated team of Security Officers through which tenants are supported and interact with on a regular basis.
Tokamak Energy were concerned about their own staff completing security related duties and required an Approved Contractor with the SIA to deliver the services required. Due to our longstanding presence on the park Tokamak Energy approached us to help. We held an initial meeting with them to fully evaluate their requirements and ensure our services would effectively underpin their own operation prior to submitting our proposal.
We mobilised the service within a short timescale ensuring that a comprehensive set of assignment instructions were designed, and a full health & safety risk assessment had been completed. With our extensive knowledge of security operations and procedures we were able to guide our customer through the maze of channels that can become overwhelming for people outside of the security industry when implementing services that involve multiple providers. Since the start of our partnership with Tokamak Energy they have benefited from support and interaction with our 24-hour Control Centre which is in keeping with our ethos of providing a close and personal service to all our customers.
